Dear Musician,
we kindly invite you to participate in our yearly Masterclasses Haliaeti. The 2014 edition offers several courses with internationally praised pedagogues and artists and will take place in Koper, Slovenia from July 7th till July 14th, 2014. You can join as a soloist, with a pre-formed chamber music ensemble or enrich the solo experience by selecting the “Chamber music” option.
SOLOISTS and ENSEMBLES
Each soloist or chamber music group will receive four lessons with the professor of your choice. Practice rooms will be available throughout the duration of the course. Each studio will be assigned an accompanist so make sure to bring the piano scores with you, should you need accompaniment. The tuition fee for soloists is 300€ and 500€ for chamber music ensembles. There will be plenty of opportunities to perform and selected concerts will be broadcasted live. We advise all participants to bring a shorter piece (up to 8 minutes) for this occasion. The concert repertoire will be chosen by our faculty.
The “Chamber music” option
The chamber music option is in addition to participating in individual studios and entitles each participant to an additional three lessons. The cost of the chamber music option is 150€ (450€ in total). Our faculty will review each application and create an ensemble from the pool of participants. The faculty will also choose the appropriate repertoire for the ensemble based on the level of the applicants. Participants will be notified whether they have been chosen as an ensemble member by June 9th, 2014. This will allow enough time for participants to prepare their respective parts and work on the piece as a group. Feel free to invite a friend or colleague to participate as well!
The application deadline is May 26th, 2014 (Post stamp). We recommend applying early, before the classes are full!
We are looking forward to receiving your application and spending together a wonderful week on the beautiful Slovenian coast!
Yours sincerely,
Rok Palčič, president of the Cultural Arts Society Ars Haliaeti
